Newsletter #1 – Tech Update

CronLab introduces customizable categorization on the WebFilter, and further improves white labeling of Anti-Spam service

Customizable Categories on WebFilter

It is now possible to configure customized categories on the WebFilter service. This is useful, e.g., when you want to allow www.linkedin.com, but to block (or to allow unlock of) the rest of the socialnet category.

First create a new linkedin category, and add www.linkedin.com to that category. Then, set this newly created category to “whitelist”. This step lets all traffic to www.linked.com only come through; as other rules defined for the rest of the socialnet category still apply.

Improved white labeling

To further improve the Anti-Spam white labeling, it is now possible to use your own “from” address when Message Quarantine Reports are sent out. To update your “from “address, please send an email to support@cronlab.com.
